Hello lovelies!
I'm sure by now you have all heard of Benefit's Porefessional and what it does. Just in case you haven't, Benefit Porefessional is a primer which claims to minimise the size and appearance of your pores. This was a product that I had lusted over for a very long time. I finally got my hands on a sample with Glamour mag last summer. I knew it would be fatale if I ever tried it as I knew I would absolutely love it - and I did, alot.
Primers were originally something I didn't ever think to use. I started to try a few out just out of curiosity but I was never wowed by any enough to continue using them or anything.
I apply Porefessional every single morning before doing my make-up, my make-up just doesn't apply, look or feel the same without it anymore. You really don't need much, I apply it quite lightly and just gently smooth it all over my face. I really don't know how to explain how it makes my skin feel other than saying my skin just feels silky and incredibly smoothe. I have quite dry skin but an oily t-zone and it works just fine on both areas, it doesn't cling to any dry patches and it doesn't slip and slide off oily skin. I don't have large pores to begin with to be honest but I would definitely say it does an amazing job of covering some of the areas like the sides of my nose where my pores are a little larger. It also does a brilliant job of covering any scarring, I have quite a bit of acne scarring on my chin and it definitely helps cover these too. I find my foundation buffs into my skin so much easier whilst wearing this, creating a really flawless finish. I really couldn't not use this now.
Since my sample size was only teeny tiny I found myself wanting to repurchase this quite quickly.. I have to admit I was a little shocked at the price. Unfortunately this is why I have a love/hate relationship with this product. At £23.50 to me it is a little pricey. I tried to manage without it but really missed it so did in the end repurchase. I was then extremely lucky to recieve this in my Birmingham Blogger meet up goodie bag just as I was at the end of my other tube, but I know as soon as this tube is gone I will be wanting to repurchase! I know lots of you will ask if it's worth the money and honestly, I'm not sure, to me it probably is as I feel like my skin doesn't look the same without it however I am sure there are some cheaper primers that may do a brilliant job too, I'm just too scared to stray away from my beloved Porefessional now!
Have you tried Porefessional? Do you think it's worth the money?

I have a sample of this and really like it but as you've said it's so expensive! I don't wear foundation etc on a daily basis so I don't think it would be a valuable investment x
ReplyDeleteThank god you wrote this! I have this primer, and I have a Rimmel one which is about £5 and I don't get the hype at all with the Benefit option. it's so expensive, but my Rimmel primer is just as good! xx

I wish I could get on with this product. It unfortunately clings to my dry patches so it's a no go for me.

I have this and I love it :) I just use it where needed though so it lasts me forever ( the sample size lasted months!). I always find with benefit that although they're fairly expensive they do last for ages and ages so it makes it feel worth if haha xxx
